FROM THE NORTH:
Motorway M1 - exit at junction 19. Take A14 eastbound towards Kettering, leaving at junction 7. Travel on the A43 for 2 miles, then onto A6003 signposted Oakham. Pass through the village of Rockingham and within 1.5 miles and you are in Caldecott village. Drive through Caldecott passing the Old Plough public house on the left hand side of the road. Within 500 metres the A6003 bends sharply to the left and a secondary road goes straight on. Take the secondary road signposted Lyddington. Follow the signs all the way to Lyddington (3km). Enter Lyddington Village on Main Street, look out, for number 10 (Wishing Well Cottage) on the right hand side of the street.

Trunk road A1 - exit onto A43 at Stamford and head towards Kettering, leaving A43 at its junction with A47. Head towards Leicester, on the A47, leaving it at Uppingham, junction with A6003, signposted Corby and Caldecott. Keep going, Caldecott is just 4 miles away. As you enter the village follow a sharp left hand bend and within 400yds a further bend to the right. Do not take the bend to the right. Turn immediately left just before the right hand bend, signposted Lyddington. Follow the signs all the way to Lyddington (3km). Enter Lyddington Village on Main Street, look out, for number 10 (Wishing Well Cottage) on the right hand side of the street.

FROM THE SOUTH:
Motorway M1 - exit at junction 15 and onto the A508 towards Wellingborough. Exit A508 onto A43 towards Kettering (10 miles). At junction A14/A43 head towards Corby on A14. At next exit take A43, towards Stamford. Leave A43 onto A6003 towards Oakham. Pass through Rockingham on A6003 for another 1.5 miles and you are in Caldecott. WIDDICOMBE AND CHAPEL COTTAGE - Greetham, Rutland

From the A1 from both the north and south, the best junction to exit is at the B668 sliproad. Head west for approx 3 mins into Greetham village and the cottage is on the left about a third of the way through the village.

From the Northwest, west and southwest. It is best to home in on Oakham. From the town take the B668 (Burley Road) out of Oakham heading east, through the village of Cottesmore and then onto Greetham approx. 5/10 mins. The cottage is situated about two thirds the way though the village on the right hand side.

FROM THE NORTH:
Motorway M1 - exit at junction 24. Turn onto the A6 southbound towards Loughborough and Leicester. Continue on the A6, through Loughborough towards Leicester. Within 2mls of Leicester turn northeast onto A46 signposted Melton Mowbray. Within 2mls turn east onto the A607, signposted East Goscote, Melton Mowbray, Grantham. Enter Melton Mowbray on the A607. When in the town look out for traffic signals at junction A607 and B676, Saxby Road, signposted Colsterworth. Turn left onto the B676 towards Colsterworth and Saxby. On the very western edge of Saxby village take a right turn signposted. As you enter the village of Wymondham look out for the village stores on the left-hand side of the road. The Old Forge, number 32 is almost directly opposite the shop.


Trunk road A1 - exit A1 and onto B6403 at Colsterworth (5 miles south of Grantham). On the southern edge of Colsterworth village look out for cross roads and turn right onto the B676, signposted Stainby, and Melton. Pass through the villages of Stainby and Buckminster. 1 mile out of Buckminster on the B676 look out for left turn signposted Wymondham. Turn left towards Wymondham. When in Wymondham village turn left, signposted Saxby. Look out for the village store on the right hand side of the road. The Old Forge (number 32) is almost directly opposite the village store.

FROM THE SOUTH:
Motorway M1 - exit M1 and merge onto the A46 heading northeast, signposted Leicester and Newark. Within 8mls turn east onto the A607, signposted East Goscote, Melton Mowbray, Grantham. Enter Melton Mowbray on the A607. When in the town look out for traffic signals at junction A607 and B676, Saxby Road, signposted Colsterworth. Turn left onto the B676 towards Colsterworth and Saxby. On the very western edge of Saxby village take a right turn signposted. As you enter the village of Wymondham look out for the village stores on the left-hand side of the road. The Old Forge, number 32 is almost directly opposite the shop.


Trunk road A1 – exit A1 at roundabout 15 miles north of Stamford. Take the first exit of the roundabout signposted South Witham. Pass through South Witham following the signs for Saxby and Wymondham. In the village of Wymondham look out for the village store on the right hand side of the road. The Old Forge (number 32) is almost directly opposite the village store.

On the southern edge of Colsterworth village look out for cross roads and turn right onto the B676, signposted Stainby, Melton. When in Wymondham village turn right and almost immediately left following the signpost Teigh, Ashwell. When you enter Ashwell take first turn left and within 400 yards turn right into Water Lane.
